| Job description: |
To develop new sales from within an agreed geographic area for the installation and servicing of commercial fire protection and detection systems. The remit will extend to access control or associated security systems and may also include some residential systems where appropriate but not retail nor domestic.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with all operational staff in order to manage and enhance customer relationships.
Will liaise with personnel within the group of companies especially the respective sales teams within sister companies.
Main responsibilities:
·Define strategies for the winning of new business in various sectors/markets ·Develop business with end clients, developers, M&Es, consultants & architects ·Account management of two key existing clients ·Expansion or development of existing contracted customers ·Sign off estimates for Quotations & tenders ·Line manage design and estimating support staff ·Line manage junior sales staff as department is increased ·Plan training for sales team to improve competence ·Conduct customer presentations as required
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY / ACCOUNTABILITY
·Generating new business in-line with annual targets and the strategic direction of the business. ·Maintaining and improving relationships with existing clients ·Sales departments cost centre budgets
KEY INTERFACES
·Operations Manager / Design and estimation / engineering service and maintenance managers / Technical support resources, Personnel etc. ·Client Liaison with regards new and existing business ·Professional organisations ·Existing and new Customers
Salary & Package details
£35k – £40k OTE £60k - £85k uncapped Holiday: 25 days – Pension: Co. match employee contributions up to 5% of Gross annual salary – BUPA: Cover for family - Company Car: from a choice of VW’s or Audi's Life Assurance: 3 x Gross annual salary

| Candidate profile: |
A good standard of education to either 'O' Level/GCSE Grades A-C/NVQ Level 2 /3 is essential together with a significant background social alarm/monitoring industry.
A proven track record in new business development working closely with potential customers, end-users, M&Es, consultants. Experience in the design and selling of commercial fire detection and protection solutions is essential. Experience in access control and CCTV systems would be advantageous.
Related Management and/or Customer sales training.
An in depth knowledge of the sales process and sales activity measurement An in depth knowledge of the fire industry, standards and contract award processes.
Intermediate to Advanced understanding of using Microsoft package including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Sales target, £1-1.5M major systems.
