Our client is seeking to recruit a Key Account Manager in the Public Sector / CNIP areas. They are one of Europe's largest fencing manufacturers - specialising in high security physical perimeter protection solutions.
The role will cover the relationship management of Government Bodies such as Home Office, HM Prisons, MOD and also the growing maximum security market within the UK's Critical National Infrastructure i.e. Utilities such as Oil, Gas, Electricity & Water, and also Power Stations, Refineries, Chemical Plants. This will involve a specification sales / consultant sales approach to these Clients to secure high-level specifications and Preferred Supplier agreements within these sectors. In addition the role will also involve Key Account Management of a number of national specialist fencing contractor accounts.
Salary & Package details
£35k - £40k basic salary 23 days holiday 16% bonus, Company car, Laptop, Mobile phone

| Candidate profile: |
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate sales experience on major bids in excess of £100k in project values to government institutions as previously mentioned as well as utilities. Familiar with bid tender sales processes with good client liaisonand development skills.
A high standard of interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate at all levels within the scope of this role is essential. Must be able to demonstrate accurate and concise written communication, be PC literate with a basic understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Experience in security fencing would be ideal but not necessary but should be residing in either the south east or north west of England

Duties and responsibilities include:
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
Travels throughout assigned territory calling on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers by telephone.
Displays or demonstrates product, using samples or catalog, and emphasizes salable features.
Executes sales in assigned territory in accordance to sales plan and agreed targets.
Works with customer service representatives to keep account activities up to date.
Maintains current accounts and develops new accounts..
Reports to management on planned and actual activities on an agreed basis.
Attends trade shows.

Job Description

Responsible for new business development through a proactive and strategic approach to sales, networking and with the ability to ‘walk the corridors’ of the major prime contractors, need someone with great collateral who can outline and establish projects, establish credibility within the key primes making sure that the business delivers on time within the supply chain.
New business is developed through working with large integrators and key primes looking at requirements ahead of programmes working to detailed bids and tenders, networking understanding programmes and how our clients technology can be integrated and how can assist to add value to the project selling both technically and commercially throughout the project with the view to become the sub contractor of choice.
Projects range from £200k to £2million, typically £500k - £1million as well as actively getting involved in projects of up to £10million.
Salary & package details
£35,000 - £45,000 Basic + bonus to 20% of salary + Car / Allowance + Benefits + Pension etc.
